How to Disable/turn off Antivirus?

Disable/turn off antivirus in windows 10

Find the antivirus program on the Windows Notification area. Right-click the icon. Choose Disable, Stop, or Shut down.

  • Click Start and search for gpedit.msc.
  • Click and open the Local Group Policy Editor.
  • Access Computer Configuration>Administrative >Templates>Windows Components>Windows Defender Antivirus
  • Double-click the Turn off Windows Defender Antivirus policy.
  • In the same window, select Enabled to disable the Defender.
  • Select Apply>OK and restart your computer



 Disable Antivirus firewall

Go to Start>Windows Security>Virus & threat protection
Click the Manage settings option.
Disable the Real-time protection toggle switch.

Temporarily Disable Firewall and Antivirus

Open Control Panel>System and Security
Pick Windows Firewall>Turn Windows Firewall on or off
Click Turn off Windows Firewall.
Select OK to save the changes.

Disable antivirus on MacBook pro

Click the antivirus icon on your Mac menu bar.
Click shut down from the drop-down menu.
See if the icon disappears from the tray.

Disable antivirus mac

Open the antivirus application from the icon.
Go to Preferences in the list.
Click Disable.
