How to remove Norton Antivirus from Windows 7?


Norton Antivirus is a Security software that protects your device from unknown threats, viruses, malware, spyware, and ransomware. If you wish to remove the Norton Antivirus from your computer running on Windows 7 OS, follow the below-mentioned method.


Using the Windows 7 Control Panel:
  • On your Windows 7 desktop, click the Start menu and open the Control Panel.
  • Click on the View by drop-down menu and select the Category option.
  • Click the Programs option followed by Programs and Features.
  • Select the Norton Antivirus option from the Programs list and click the Uninstall/Change button available at the top of the screen.
  • If the User Account Control(UAC) dialogue box pops-up, click the Yes button to continue with the removing process.
  • After removing the Norton Antivirus from your Windows 7 desktop, restart the computer.


Removing the Norton Antivirus from the Start menu:

  • On your Windows 7 computer, click the Start menu from the taskbar.
  • Click the All Programs button and select Norton Security from the displayed list.
  • Click the Uninstall Norton Security button and select your desired checkboxes at the bottom of the screen to remove the Norton Antivirus.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts and restart your computer to remove the Norton product entirely from your device.
